Tascam US-600 USB Audio Interface

The US-600 features the great sound quality and reliability that TASCAM's best-selling interfaces are know for. The lightweight, desktop design is perfect for studio use or for bringing along for recording with a laptop.

The US-600 has four combo jack inputs, S/PDIF digital in and out, and a set of RCA outputs totaling 6-in and 4-out. A MIDI input and output are also available for synths, drum machines and lighting systems.

Full-featured inputs

The US-600 has four combination jacks – two on the front panel and two on the rear panel – that accept 1/4" or XLR jacks. This gives you the flexibility to attach microphones, line level sources, even plug a guitar or bass directly in. The microphone inputs provide phantom power for condenser microphones and plenty of gain for recording any source.

A direct monitor path is available suring recording to prevent the delays that can occur when recording to computer. This allows the musician to hear the input directly to the output without any delay so that timing isn't distracted by echos.

A set of RCA line outputs are provided to connect to monitors, and a S/PDIF digital input and output is provided for use with high-end synths and processing gear. A stereo 1/4" headphone jack is also provided for monitoring.

Cubase LE5 Included

Included with the US-600 is a copy of Cubase LE5, a 48-track workstation application with the features to create polished productions. VST plug-in support, automated mixing and MIDI tracks allow you to craft large productions without adding any other software. If you want to use your own software, the US-200 supports most Mac and Windows software such as Logic Pro, Live, Nuendo, Digital Performer, Fruity Loops, and Pro Tools 9.
