MOST ORDINARY POWER SUPPLIES REQUIRE THE USE OF EXTENSION CORDS AND ARE NOT DESIGNED FOR AC/DC ADAPTERS but not the Planet Waves AC Power Supply. Receptacles are often placed too close together to fit AC/DC adapters, and the on/off switch is located in an area that can be accidentally shut off. Plus, ordinary power supolies are made of inexpensive materials which can fail or break after short periods of time. THE PLANET WAVES AC POWER SUPPLY HAS OUTLETS SPECIFICALLY SPACED FOR AD/DC ADAPTER PLUGS. The 125V AC power supply has a 15-foot cord with high-quality, 14/3 wire, so there is no need for additional extension cords, and the backlit on/off switch is located on the side of the power supply, so accidental shut off is less likely than on ordinary power supplies. Plus, the power supply has a rubber boot molded to the bottom of the unit, so the supply will stay in place when in use on stage. Note: This power supply does not include surge protection.
