The Vision Birch VBX drum kit offers drums of two different thicknesses, for a perfectly EQed sound right out of the box. The Vision Birch VBX rack toms are made of 6-ply birch, for the perfect amount of high-frequency content, and the floor tom and kick are of 8-ply birch for increased low-frequency response. This kit also includes a steel SensiTone snare shell that lets the backbeat slice through even the most cluttered mix. Kick pedal, snare stand, cymbal stands, and hi-hat stands are included in the Vision Birch VBX kit.

Birch shells for presence and punch
Birch drums feature boosted high frequencies, slightly reduced mids, and a good low end punch, ideal for recording or live performance applications requiring extra focus and cut. Many birch drum sets have found their way into the world's top recording studios because of their naturally "EQed" sound.

Superior Shell Technology produces optimal tone, resonance, and strength
The Vision Birch VBX Series features Pearl's Superior Shell Technology, a proprietary technique for achieving the ultimate air chamber. It begins with select woods chosen for their unique acoustic attributes, milled to precise thickness with overlapping scarf joint seams, for a perfect air-tight fit. The wood plies are saturated with Pearl's proprietary "AcoustiGlue" that permeates every pore and dries to the exact consistency of the wood for optimum resonance. Finally, the plies are formed in high-temperature molds with 1000 PSI of hydraulic pressure to produce perfect drum shells that exhibit superior tone, optimal resonance, and extreme strength.

6/8 shell construction
Vision drum sets feature two very different shell thicknesses: 6 plies on rack toms and 8 plies on bass drums and floor toms, for incredibly balanced sound.Larger drums require more energy to project as much as smaller drums, so Pearl increased the shell thickness of the floor toms and bass drums on all Vision drums to give you clarity, control and balance throughout the drum set.

Snare and hardware included
Just add your favorite cymbals and you're ready to rock right out of the box. The SensiTone steel snare slices through even the most cluttered mixes, and this kit includes a pair of cymbal stands, a hi-hat stand, a snare stand, and kick pedal, along with 2-ply batter heads for strong sound and durability.
